NEW Legal Market Report 2023/2024

This year, in addition to the traditional salary report, we expanded upon the topic of non-monetary benefits as suggested by you in the previous edition. How do the proposals from employers align with the actual expectations of lawyers? Will a minor adjustment in this area attract more talent to organizations, or is the budget still the primary concern?

We are extremely pleased to present to you the Legal Market Report 2023/2024. The new report was created because, firstly - we officially committed to it before you a year ago, and secondly - the overwhelming positive feedback we received after the first edition exceeded our boldest expectations and confirmed our belief that the legal sector greatly needed such research

Patronate:

We also inquired about overtime - does a high salary imply the necessity of working more than 40 hours per week? Do the new generations entering the job market truly want to work less? And essentially, is generalization appropriate here? What about AI

We have also inquired about overtime - whether law firms are automating legal functions, or if reducing working hours under an hourly billing model contradicts the organization's interests? Does the in-house market approach this differently? Is the 4-day workweek model applicable to lawyers? What is the situation of LGBTQ+ individuals in our sector, and what can we do to make it better for everyone? And finally, what about gendered language?

We hereby present to you the results of the research conducted in November and December 2023, enriched with insights, analyses, and examples of best practices from Experts associated with the legal market (but not only):/in alphabetical order/

In this edition, you will find comments from lawyers, HR managers from in-house and law firm markets, from local as well as international entities. From the largest firms in the market to boutique ones. To present you with a comprehensive view of the market, we asked younger individuals who have not yet reached partnership or managerial positions to share their observations.

We invite all of you to read and share your thoughts, observations, and comments. We invite you to a dialogue that - we still deeply believe - will lead to significant changes step by step.

Sincerely,
Iga Dolipska
