🐶 Would Your Monday Morning Be Less Painful with a Wagging Tail and a Wet Nose Instead of Yet Another Coffee?
Exactly! More and more companies are welcoming four-legged coworkers, claiming it boosts both morale and productivity. But does it really?
The Perks of Office Pups:
✅ Less stress, more smiles – It’s hard to yell at Excel when someone is giving you puppy eyes, asking for a belly rub.
✅ Next-level networking – You suddenly meet colleagues from across the office because their dog just stole your sandwich.
✅ Enforced breaks – No chance of staying glued to your screen all day when someone clearly signals it’s time for a bathroom break (and not yours).
The Downsides (Are They Really?)
❌ Not everyone loves dogs – There are cat people, allergy sufferers, and those who prefer their lunch fur-free.
❌ Rules? What rules? – Dogs don’t read office policies and might have their own take on meeting organization (especially online ones).
❌ A new boss? – When a golden retriever flashes those irresistible eyes, no one listens to the actual manager anymore.
So, Should You Bring Your Dog to Work?
If company culture allows it and colleagues agree - why not? An office pup is basically a free mental health coach and employer branding specialist in one. The key is setting clear rules, like who cleans up after the dog (spoiler: the owner, not the cleaning staff).
